Told ya guys, Detroit sign Orlando Pace and Torry Holt, then they trade their 20th overall and another lower pick for Cutler and they draft Curry/Raji. They make the playoffs with 8-8, lose in 2nd week to the Eagles!

Pace is ours or Baltimores

The Bears have made signing Orlando Pace a priority and intend to leave him at left tackle if he joins the team, according to an NFL source.

Pace, who played 12 seasons with the St. Louis Rams before becoming a salary-cap casualty last month, visited Halas Hall on Monday. Agent Kennard McGuire said Pace "had a very good and productive" visit.

McGuire declined to discuss specifics in relation to a contract offer. Pace reportedly has an offer from Baltimore.

If Pace signs, the Bears probably would start him at left tackle and shift Chris Williams to the right side. Pace was selected to seven Pro Bowls at left tackle. He likely would have been the Rams' starting left tackle in 2009 had they not opted to save $6 million in cap space.

He needs to go, we need a new QB after this and it can not be Simms, he is ok but not great, i would dirty sanchez, i think he would do a good job for us. The question is who will trade with us?

Silk, what if we got the Niners to draft Sanchez for us and then traded them Cutler for Sanchez, their number 3 this year and their number 1 next year. We'd still be able to pick up Tyson Jackson at #12, have an extra third rounder, a potentially high pick next year (San Fran is a boom or bust type team next year IMO.) And either be able to start Simms or maybe even Jeff Garcia for a season until Sanchez is ready. I was against Sanchez at first but the guy is very accurate and smart, and only 20 years old.

I call bullshit. Nothing's changed. He was never "off the market". Plenty of GMs are interested, but all of them sans Cerrato/Little Danny and MAYBE Tannenbaum will laugh their asses off if Denver demands 2 #1's.
