In the meantime, I will entertain you with my assortment of "I told you so" posts which highlight why I knew the current NFL record holder for head coach with the worst winning percentage of all time would never succeed.
9/27/09 - Yes, three weeks in to his career, it was clear Spags had no clue how to manage a roster. And he still can't, three years later.Comment

Ah, another classic.
Spags trades his best LB for desperately needed WR help, then proceeds to bench the WR:

Spags first game recap:
I'll tell you how--with some of the lamest, most unimaginative playcalling i've seen in years.
Typical Rams drive:
1stD: Jackson runs for 3 yards
2ndD: Bulger to random scrub WR for 4 yards
3rdD: Bulger incomplete
4thD: Awesome Donnie Jones punt
Jackson had 16 carries and ZERO receptions. They threw to him twice. Thats 16 total touches, and his number was called a whopping 18 times. The game was not out of hand until late. The best player on the team, and one of the best players in the league, was uninvolved in he offense.
And I love all of those pass plays with two gus out on routes. 6 guys covering 2, Bulger with nowhere to throw, then all of the St Louis area Rams "fans" putting all the blame on Bulger, as usual. He made no mistakes, and ran this shitty, vanilla WCO offense as well as he could. Hard to score points when you ignore Jackson and all of the pass routes are 6 yard curls and slants.

Not hard to imagine anyone doing much better. The Rams won't beat CIN, PIT, or SF, so Spags will have a one win and two win season under his belt in three years.Comment

Oh I agree.......the Achilles heel for him right now seems to be Cam Cameron, and the fact that they have no reliable possession/short yardage options. You never would think a team would miss Mason, Heap and McGahee, but the Ravens certainly have from an offensive standpoint. They beat the Steelers twice, but I wonder how they will do in the playoffs right now.Comment

Fans should be putting heat on Spags to blitz more than, I don't know, zero times per game. Fans should be putting heat on Spags to order the overmatched offensive (double meaning) coordinator Pat Shurmer to open up his vanilla, 1970 playbook. Fans should be all over Spags for failing to clean up the sloppy, unfocused, penalty filled, unorginized play that hasnt been fixed from the Linehan era.
Browns fans (and media) are running Mangenious out of town after 3 games, and justifiably so. Rams fans should follow suit. I warned people this was the wrong hire. Spags must go, no point wasting two or three years on this guy. He's lost.
Rams are still sloppy, Rams are still at the top of the league in penalties, Rams still can't move the ball.Comment
