Sorry if this has already been said (I didn't read through the whole thread), but I heard something interesting regarding "Spags". From my inside sources, I guess the Rams owner could deal with Spags' bizarre in-game decisions and his woeful record, but the straw that broke the camel's back was that all of the non-football people in the Rams organization completely hated Spags. Nobody liked the guy.Comment

He was considered a bully and a control freak around Rams Park, and was universally disliked.
The most public example was the firing of equipment manager Todd Hewitt, who had been with the team for three decades, and whose family had been involved with the Rams going back to the Cleveland days. The rumor is it had something to do with socks. I'm not making any of that up.Comment

To think that the Redskins could have had Spags instead of Zorn.........Comment

PFW Rams correspondent Jim Thomas of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports that the Rams have received permission to interview Falcons director of player personnel Les Snead and Ravens director of player personnel Eric DeCosta for the team's GM position.
Snead, 37, has been with the Falcons since 1997 while DeCosta, 41, has been with the Ravens since 1996.
DeCosta also is rumored to be a candidate for the Colts' GM job and has been mentioned as a possibility in Chicago.
