Does anybody else see the Broncos as...

    Career suicide for secondary players?

Champ Bailey was amazing in Washington, and even though still good, is way overrated.

John Lynch was great for the Bucs, and when he went to the Broncos he just failed.

Then there were the decent corner backs coming into the league that just ended up sucking.. The dude that died had no choice but to die, but Foxworth?

I'm just nervous that Dawkins is just going to fail at the end of his career, just like Lynch and Bailey.

Jake Plummer had the best years of his career as a Bronco.

Not really. Lynch came to the Broncos at what could of been the downside of his career. Dawkins is 35 so he is definitely on the downside of his career. Baily had his two best seasons in Denver. So I cant really say its a "suicide" for the secondary more than them just signing older guys rather than trying to build up a defense of young players?

As for Dre Bly, It doesnt help when the last 2 years(the 2 years that he was there) the broncos had literally zero pass rush

true, any cornerback will look horrible if there is zero pass rush.

I can see Dawkins having a down year simply because in Philly there was so much pass rush and in Denver theres hardly any

b-dawk is 35 people... how much more can he have left? it seems dnver gets players on the down slide alot instead of making moves in the draft. maybe this will change will shanny gone as he was gm and HC.

I wonder if playing at higher altitude after all those years playing at sea level has anything to do with it for some of these players.

I wouldn't say that the second Bailey went to Denver he's been crap, but like few of you have said, the past year or two he's been burned more times that the rest of his career combined..

He's obviously getting older and in result his play is falling off the map, he can still play, but not at the level we're used to seeing him, and i'd say the same as Lynch and Dawkins.
Dawkins might have a good year this year, but yeah he's 35 and on the downfall of his career, what more can i say?

It's like the RBs that go to New England to pro-long their careers, lol, i guess all D-Backs go to Denver.

John Lynch was old, of course he's not going to perform greatly.

Champ Bailey was better when he went to Denver. I've seen him get burned before... Amani Toomer used to own him every year when they matched up in the NFC East. Champ Bailey is better in Denver than he was in Washington, even though he's dipping at the moment.

John Lynch went to Denver well past his prime.. his weaknesses were exposed in a poor defense.

The same thing will likely happen to Brian Dawkins.. we'll see. But its tough to play secondary on a defense that generates absolutely zero pressure on the QB.

the big thing i see as a positive here is Dawkins is a vocal leader...he is the Ray Lewis of DB's...maybe he can pump them up and its more of a mental signing then for his physical talent...he can still play tho

Doesnt change what I said about Lynch tho. And if Dawkins doesnt do well in Denver you can help attest that to be past his prime too. Dawkins >>> Lynch tho. I always thought Lynch was pretty overrated in the tail end of his career.

I hope for the best for Denver.. but not really cause I thoroughly enjoy betting the over on Denver Bronco games, and their miserable D and high powered O have justified it.

1.) Champ will have another good year or two before he decides to retire. And he will retire a Bronco.
2.) Dawkins will do one, maybe two years in Denver before he realizes he's getting old and retires.
3.) Dre will not finish his career as a Bronco.
