LOL at the Bears in Week 17

Them playing the game to win caused Urlacher(who had been hurt all week) to tear two ligaments in his knee, they weren't able to evaluate Nathan Enderle, and they made their draft position worse by 8 spots.

Even when the Bears win they lose.

    This franchise sucks.

            A sprain is a tear.

Go look up what a sprain is. Especially a Grade II.

Technically you're right but that kind of "tear" doesn't require any kind of surgery.

A sprain will require rest and then eventually PT to get it back into shape. Most tears require surgery.

                      Ok?

I never said he needed surgery.

Nice edit too when you realized you were wrong.

It's not about realizing I was wrong. It's what most people's conceptions are of the injury. When someone says a "tear" they immediately think it;s something more serious. It's more confusing than anything. I just tried to simplify the post. But I still stand by statement that a ligament "sprain" and "tear" are not the same thing.

I also never said YOU said he needed surgery, but a "tear" does require surgery, in most cases. So when you state that he tore two ligaments 99% of the people here would assume that the injury was more serious and required surgery.

                          Most people are stupid.

We went through this with the Cutler injury.

Most people are stupid, or a better word to describe them would be ignorant. But most people have not been exposed to those types of injuries either. Hell, before I tore my meniscus last year I had never sustained any type of "serious" injury that required any kind of surgery...in my life. And before that I probably wouldn't have know that a ligament "sprain" is actually a tear.

Perhaps...personally my basketball career was basically cut short/ended because of ankle ligament sprain/tear issues so I became well acquainted with them...more than i would have liked to as a 17/18 year old.
