Angelo has been hated for years. Even with Cutler healthy everyone knew Angelo hasn't done shit.

IMO Angelo was out either way.

              Crap, I liked the guy......

              being on the Bears.

Kind of the way I liked Matt Millen in Detroit.

allowing that offensive line to be that bad for that many years while also investing heavily in skill positions around it was pretty firable before this season let alone after it.

congrats on this, maybe chicago will bring in management capable of seeing the totally fucking obvious this time.

Good move- as someone mentioned, this line has been bad for some time. It is one thing for a rebuilding team to ignore one position, but Angelo has been the GM for longer than it being inexcusable. Not to mention, a lot of those skill guys didn't pan out either.

This also puts Lovie Smith on the chopping block, depending on who the next GM is. I definitely think that their first order of business needs to be re-signing Matt Forte. No matter who you bring in as your head coach, Forte is going to be a key part of the offense.

Even thouh it seems Angelo wasn't liked in Chicago and what not, I still think he got the raw end of the deal. I mean the Bears went to the NFC Championship last year, then started great this year at 7-3. It's not Angelo's fault Cutler went down, and shortly after that Forte did. Doesn't seem too fair to me.

There has been depth issues on the Bears for a number of years.

Look at his last 5-6 drafts. There are almost entire draft classes that haven't matriculated to the team, not just the starting lineup... the team. And it's not just one draft or a few players it's a huge problem.

This year's team was littered with undrafted free agents. Once injuries occur on this team it completely crumbles, no injuries aren't his fault but the crumbling due to lack of depth absolutely is.

A happy day for all Bears fans no doubt.

Its very good news. But I do think that as JMS asked, had Jay stayed healthy and the Bears finished with 5 or 6 losses and made the playoffs JA probably would have been back.

But like I said, good day. There have been blatantly obvious needs that have been ignored for many many years. Hopefully now we can see those positions filled.
