Green Bay Packers offensive coordinator Joe Philbin will have a busy bye week during the first round of the playoffs.
Philbin will interview with the Kansas City Chiefs to become their next head coach. That interview will take place tonight, according to Adam Schefter of ESPN.
Philbin, who has a background coaching offensive linemen, has become a hot name the last two seasons because of the tremendous success the Packers have had offensively. He’s also believed to be a potential candidate for the Miami Dolphins’ opening.
Per the report, the Chiefs have already conducted multiple interviews, getting some knocked out before the season ended. Romeo Crennel, who had a 2-1 record as interim coach after Todd Haley was released, will also be interviewed for the job. Chiefs players publicly supported Crennel before the season ended.
