Oh no don't worry, I'm not blaming him for their struggles.

It's just another problem WITH him though. He's completely inflexible. His concepts are like 15 years behind the times. The times when the Bears offense looked best both years were when they put the reigns on him and simplified the offense to actually match their players.

I know, it's not his fault really. I just think his concepts are silly.

Excellent move by the Bears. Looking forward to this for the next 1/2 to 2 seasons.

Relative to the talent I agree. But at that point I blame Lovie and Jerry for bringing him in to start with.

Agreed. It was on Lovie and Jerry. I said it when they hired him that it was a stupid fit and wouldn't work.

Also, chalk up Greg Olsen as another wasted first round pick of the Bears if you get Martz. He barely even remembered Vernon Davis was on his damn team... he'd NEVER use Olsen.

Word around Chicago is Lovie wants Martz because it's another one of his boys. Angelo doesn't want Martz though because it goes back to giving Lovie too much power and Lovie handpicking "his guys". It's basically a power struggle of retards over there.

so... what this move basically says... is that Mike Martz joined Ron Rivera as a guy who got shitcanned because he would have been an easy head coach replacement. you coulda fired Lovie and promoted Rivera in the name of continuity, and you could have probably done that with Martz too.

So lovie sticks around as a glorified D coordinator with two of his boys at the coordinator spots that were so awful that nobody would ever consider them as head coaches again.

I'm glad I picked a different Great Lakes region team when I was a kid. I feel sorry for all my family from Chicago that lives and dies with the Bears.
