Worst part of these HS recruits declaring on TV...

Is the awkward controversey/trouble stirring questions the reporters ask.

    *Kid from Lousiana picks Georgia*

    ESPN: Why'd you select Georgia?

Kid: Basic answer of coaching staff and campus. Whatever.

ESPN: What do you have to say to everyone back in your home state of Louisiana who is disappointed by this move?

    Kid: Awkward stutters....

    Who.
    The.
    Fuck.
    Cares.

The kid doesn't have to apologize for choosing a different state to go to school in. He most definetly doesn't need to defend it to Billy Bob in Baton Rouge. He shouldn't be made to feel guilty at a point that could be the highlight of his football life if his career doesn't pan out. Let him and his family enjoy it. It's not like he went on TV, chose Georgia, then wiped his ass with the state flag of Louisiana.

If it were only with one recruit I wouldn't care, but every time someone chose to go out of state the question was asked. Let the kid and his family enjoy the moment.

Epilouge: One kid had a class answer of saying, "well I hope they'd still support me wherever I go".

    Yeah.

    Go fuck yourself ESPN.

The worst part of them declaring on TV...is them declaring on TV.

This obsession with high school athletes has become ridiculous.

Pick a school and STFU, most of these kids dont even live up to the hype.

I don't know what it is with people expecting kids to go to local schools and getting butthurt when they don't. Locally I remember people getting pissed when Percy Harvin and EJ Manuel didn't want to attend UVA or Va Tech.

I think the entire idea of people following and getting legitimately excited/upset over the decisions of high school seniors is completely ridiculous and slightly creepy.

You missed all the fun of Aaron Lynch's mom posting on Irish Envy.

I'm extra interested in the whole recruiting thing this because I'm a HS senior and go to school with a couple kids in this All-American game today, so I'm interested to find out where they commit. While one of the kids has already committed to Rutgers (I live in New Jersey), I'm 99% sure that the other three won't be going to Rutgers. Even though i would like them to stay in state, I'm not gonna be mad at them for choosing to go to a better out of state school.

              Darius Hamilton: Florida
              Yuri Wright: Notre Dame:
              Elijah Shumate: Notre Dame/South Carolina

              You heard it here first

Yeah, pretty much this. I enjoy following the stuff from a distance, I do like to know which good players are going where, and if a kid does choose LSU then that's great. But to follow the ups and downs like it's a soap opera and actually invest time and energy into it just seems ... creepy. Especially the clowns who become bitter over a kid's decision and insult and harass them. WTF is the point? Let that person do whatever the fuck they want to do.

Anyway, I hope Landon Collins ends up at Alabama and his mom shows up to every game in an LSU jersey. It'd be the ultimate job.

Only since Saban got there. He likes to offer our borderline kids so we have no choice but to offer them. We've lost a few kids to Auburn lately, wonder how that happened though ...

I follow recruiting very closely as most of you know... but the idea of getting pissed/upset about a recruit choosing to go somewhere else is just retarded IMO, just like the thought of tweeting or facebooking a recruit just crosses so many lines.

poor parenting and poor educations all aorund....you would think they and their parents would be aware of the possibility of a small interview and the parents would know by now that stupid questions liked this are asked and they could help prep their kids about it...but no, you get a mother acting like an upset spoiled, hurt kid who says "LSU number 1" like its important that she do so...instead of being happy that her son gets a full ride
