Another difference with this and the BCS was the right now we have 4 "choices" even though we aren't "choosing" the match up.

The BCS is a choice. There was a choice between a rematch and OK St vs LSU. People would have rather of seen the "new game".

People just used the rematch argument to further justify why the BCS system sucks. Had LSU and Alabama had a rematch through a playoff system people wouldn't have cared.
