Please, Dolphins, and Raiders too, take GB defensive coaches. It was the worst unit in the league this year outside of New England and it sure as fuck wasnt due to lack of talent.

The league lost Art Shell 2.0 when Caldwell was fired ; The league gained Childress 2.0 with Philbin as HC. He doesn't call the plays, McCarthy does almost all of the offensive planning, and even if you do want to give him some credit for Green Bays offensive success, he has to take some blame for their failures too ; dropped balls have been a problem for a long time now in Green Bay.

Good luck in 3 years when the Dolphins are hiring a new coach.

I thought Moore played pretty well in his time. 13-11 record when he receives majority of snaps on sub par teams (panthers and dolphins over past 5 seasons)

Worst field of coaching candidates ever. Miami said all season they wanted a big name head coach, and they settle for this crap. Should have just kept Tony Spanaro or the interim Todd Bowles, and tried to get another coach next year.

Also, Philbin looks like he has AIDS:

Can someone explain why McCoy is even a coaching candidate at all? WTF is his claim to success other than running the Tebow-option?

Tebow was a lost cause and he helped the guy win games and take the Broncos to the playoffs. People look at that and wonder if their team is a massive pile of shit, maybe he can squeeze some talent out of them too.

But that doesnt make any sense, because he didnt squeeze any good QB play out of Tebow. The only reason they had any success on offense is because Tebow can run the option (and it was moderate success at that). Unless these teams are planning to run the option (which they are not), it makes zero sense for McCoy to be a candidate.

I agree, but he did sort of squeeze some talent by making the offense one he could run and not fuck up, to an extent. I'm the last person to defend Tebow and the Broncos, hate them both, but if you can take a guy with a limited skill set and maximize what he does to win games, I think it shows what you can do with what you are given. Meaning if you have Chad Henne, you need a miracle worker.

But that still doesnt make sense. McCoy didnt come up with the option offense, he simply copied what Tebow ran at Florida. How is McCoy gonna make Chad Henne a better passer, when he didnt help Tebow be a better passer?

I think Dennis Allen is a better future coaching candidate than McCoy. No idea why McCoy was getting the pub he was getting.
