    Raiders cut CB Stanford Routt

He played ok for us I believe Routt is a solid number 2 CB, I expect the Raiders to cut more big names on the defensive side but we will see theres no more Al scholarship

Way overpaid. Was kind of a bum until his contract year. Was an early recipient of the Powdered Toast Man Award.

In Today's NFL I'm not sure there are a lot of CB's who can succeed in a scheme as man heavy as the Raiders was. He had a hell of a year in 2010. He wasn't as good in 2011 but he's still a damn good CB. With Al gone, a new defensive coach and new GM I expect the Raiders defense to look a little different in the back end luckily enough. He is a good CB though and he is visiting the Bills and Titans.

If we don't bring back Finnegan (looks unlikely at this point), I'll be aboard signing Routt. McCourty/Verner/Routt is a solid CB trio.

Hue Jackson sunk himself so I don't make any excuses for him.

I beleive one thing about his post firing commentary though: Al Davis ran that defense.

I got no problem with McKenzie making his own moves to do what he has to do.

I would thank the shit out of legit Raiders who offered an honest opinion on Routt as to what he has though. I havent lived in the yey area for a year and a half now (and I didnt know bout FirstRowSports at the time, so I fully admit I'm uninformed), so I don't know what if this is legit or a cap move. Be interested to hear from legit Raiders fans how they react to this though.
