It's not like he's gonna be a hot commodity. No one will sign him. And the Texans would be awful as a fit, In fact any team would be a bad fit. Moss is done.

Why are you even allowed to post in the NFL section of this site?

Cris Carter, Randy Moss trade barbs

Cris Carter has no doubt Randy Moss still has the speed and talent to contribute to an NFL team, but Carter says there are lingering questions about his former Vikings teammate's ability to shrug off difficult times and compete hard on every down.

Moss, 35, announced this week that he wants to return to the NFL after sitting out the 2011 season. Talking to ESPN's “Mike & Mike in the Morning” radio show Tuesday, Carter offered some pointed criticism of Moss.

“The one thing you have to address with Randy Moss is not a conditioning thing. It's not an age thing,” Carter said. “It needs to be addressed. I believe it's the elephant in the room. It's that thing called quit.

“And Randy, not like any other superstar I've met, he has more quit in him than any of those other players. So I need to address that. That's what (Patriots coach Bill) Belichick did when he brought him over from Oakland. He told him he wasn't going to have it.”

Moss quickly took to Twitter, taking a shot at Carter, who has been on the Hall of Fame ballot since 2007 without being voted in.

“its sad how u stroked ur own ego when u were suppose to b my mentor!” Moss tweeted after Carter's radio appearance. “then u wonder why karma bites u in the ass!#goodlukwithhof”

Moss softened his stance later, tweeting: “Cc no matter I still luv u bruh”

Moss began the 2010 season with New England before being traded and subsequently released by the Vikings. He finished the year with the Titans.

Reports surfaced in September that he would be interested in returning to the Patriots to play with quarterback Tom Brady, but he said in a radio interview at the time that he was “done.” Moss, who has 954 career receptions, caught an NFL-record 23 touchdowns with the Patriots in 2007.

It seemed to me Carter was telling the truth.
