Which QB would you rather have?

QB A:

291/474 (61%), 3451 yards, 25 TDs, 6 INT (10-6 record).

QB B:

310/517 (60%), 4051 yards, 21 TD, 17 INT, 84.5 QB Rating (6-10 record).

QB A is Josh Freeman's second season as an NFL starter. QB B is Cam Newton.

Neither has proven anything. That said, I have said from day 1 that Cam Newton is going to be a stud in the NFL and didn't include his rushing stats, which were amazing. I think he will eventually be a stud, but there is always the possibility that he doesn't improve his decision making or that he even regresses like Freeman has appeared to.

Neither of these guys are locks, including Luck, and nobody knows how high his ceiling is because nobody has seen him play in the league yet.

I would take Luck just because he lets me run the offense I want. Cam has a good arm, but most of his success is the zone read/shotgun spread stuff. That's just not my style of football.

for such an educated football fan you clearly didn't watch a single Panthers game did you? RUSHING, he was successful in zone read... majority of his passes were traditional.

But from what I understand, I thought most of the offense came out of shotgun, spreading the field and letting Cam throw from that. It's a new school approach, and I don't like it. The Lions do it too, Patriots, all of em. I'm old school. Give me an under center quarterback like Luck and let me pound the rock and control the game with the pass.

If Cam does do that, I stand corrected.

If im reading right the QBs to rate as high as he has were Manning , Aikman , Elway.
All sb winners so why not ?

Luck would have to be pretty lousy to fail in this league.
