Steelers At Risk Of Losing Mike Wallace

The Steelers are in a tough spot because they're so tight up against the salary cap. They'll place a first-round tender on Wallace, but a franchise tag isn't financially doable, and the tender would leave Pittsburgh vulnerable to teams willing to surrender a first-round pick. La Canfora mentioned the division-rival Ravens and Patriots as teams potentially interested in Wallace. Baltimore drafts at No. 29, and New England has two first-round picks.
If the Pats get Mike Wallace we might as well hand them the Lombardi Trophy. Mike Wallace and Torrey Smith on the same team would be quite dangerous as well though.

If all it takes is a first round pick to get him, consider him gone.

No way he doesn't get claimed for just a 1st rounder.

Eh, I wouldn't give up a first rounder. But that's just me.

If you have the 29th pick, the 31st pick...you rather take a chance on some rookie then pick up Mike Wallace?

Obviously, your Packers don't need him. Teams like San Fran, Baltimore, New England and others could sure use him to open up their offenses.

May be a worse post than people saying it is acceptable for Buster Posey to run away when someone is coming for the plate.

Their chances of getting to the SB are higher than anyone in the AFC right now. Who gonna challenge them to win the East? Sanchez and the Jets? They get a deep threat like Wallace, have a good draft/FA period in their secondary and their chances are as good as anyone elses.

they got lucky as heck this past year..they got every break possible in the AFC championship game..it wont happen again..i'm not saying they arent good and didnt earn it..but its way too hard to get back, theyve beaten the odds enough already and now its time for tides of change,...they will not make it back next year

You gonna make the same argument for the Giants? They got just as many breaks in their game vs the 9ers as the Pats vs the Ravens. Giants backed into the playoffs with 9 wins in a terrible division while the Pats won 13 games. Who really got lucky? Dont matter because at the end of the day they were able to outlast the other team no matter how ugly it was.
