Bench press is just as dumb as the 40 yard dash too. Its an endurance exercise for these guys and doesn't really show how much power they can generate. The fact that one guy running a 4.38 and another running a 4.48 could be the difference between being a top pick or not is ridiculous.
I'd say their agility and ability to burst through the hole or off a cut on a route is way more important than how fast they can run in a straight line.Comment

I'd still take Sanu, such a beast still...
Blackmon came in a bit smaller then many thought...6' feet, around 200lbs...
Floyd is a manchild, and Stephen Hill's stock is at an all-time high right now.Originally posted by Nick MangoldWes Welker is a great player. He's really taken advantage of watching film. If we don't keep a Spy on him, he could really open the Gate.Comment

Got to go to combine today and watch 40s passing/receiving drills for the first group of WRs/QBs and 40s for the second group. Was pretty cool.
RGIII was fast as fuck. Ran a 4.38 on his second attempt and everyone was surprised cause it looked like he had slipped a little. Looked twice as fast as all the other QBs.
Nick Foles runs like a bitch. Jacory Harris looked like he was trying to sabotage WRs during passing drills. That's the extent of my scouting.Comment

the underwear olympics are all just part of a whole..plenty of guys who ran perceived lousy 40s, still thrived in the NFL..there is something to be said about the interviews and multiple choice tests they give them to see if ou have someone a litle better then a jock brain or composed in a pocket guy ...and if a guy does lousy in one part or another,it gives him something to work on in his trainingComment
