Reported #s are 4-years, $31 million with $18 million guaranteed.
Good deal or one of those, they had to keep him so whatever it took situations?
Personally, I think he won't live up to it this season but I guess you could say he earned it last season. I think the money will change his running style.
I'd say he was a top 10 back last season and he could be a top 5 back if they can give him more carries but I think he'll run softer.
And yeah, they can't afford to let him go. Certainly not when Tarvaris Jackson is your quarterback.
I hope it works out well for both parties because I love what Lynch has done in Seattle and the fans are really embracing him. However, I never trust running back longevity. These guys are beaten to dust and can sometimes be replaced by 4th+ rounders. This is one of those "I hope its good, but it probably will end badly" type of deals.

Lynch will have to do his best but if the Seahawks start winning and make it to the playoffs with Lynch helping them then it's worth it.
The ultimate goal with these contracts is to build a winning team, Lynch is a large piece of the puzzle. Hopefully he can hold up while they add a few more pieces.
Lynch turns 26 next month.
As a lifetime hawks fan, I love this deal. He will be 29 entering the 4th year of this deal.
Pretty much guaranteed to be a better deal than Shawn Alexander's big money contract. (8 years when he was already 29 with twice the carries Marshawn has now)
Big money has a way of making RB's get soft, but I don't see that happening with Lynch.
The most interesting thing about Lynch is that he played alot of DB in high school, and rivals.com had him ranked as the # 1 DB in the nation, and also had him rated #2 RB in the nation, behind only Adrian Peterson.
