I actually love me some Brandon Marshall, so I really like this trade. Cutler and Marshall were really good together...put up big numbers. Good for you guys, because everyone was beginning to be annoyed by the Bears' WR situation.

Drop issues or not I'd gladly take any of these guys. Hakeem Nicks, Victor Cruz, Steve Smith, Boldin, Desean Jackson were also in the top 10 as well.

Yawn about his drops. I'm sure he will have some that make me pull my hair out but whatever.
he showed no where near the same ability he did in Denver. Very disappointing for what we gave up, what we paid him, and what we expected. I think he and Cutler have a special chemistry and I think he will do well in Chicago. What you Bears fans feel now, we felt 2 years ago.....now most are indifferent to this trade, we could take or leave him for his price/performance.

That's great value. Santonio Holmes and Brandon Lloyd were acquired for 5th rounders.

Dolphins did well here. So did the Bears, but personally I have never liked Marshall. He has shaky hands, and always gets dumb penalties at the worst time. He's a nutjob.
I think part of it is the fact that Marshall is 27 years old and in what could be his prime has been consistantly over 1000 yards and was at 15 YPR last year. He's a 3 time pro bowler nad has made a 2nd team all pro.

Santonio Holmes had one really good season and that was it before he ws traded. And Lloyd has pretty much sucked his entire career.

I think comparing values of Marshall to Holmes/Llyod is off.

Really surprised to not see Maclin. Maybe all his drops were just plays that mattered.

The Dolphins WR core now rivals that of the worst in the league.

                  Excellent move for the Bears.

Still have high draft picks and cash to spend.

No surprise that the guys with the most drops are also the guys with the most balls thrown to them. When you get a lot of a thrown your way, you're going to catch a lot of them and drop some. Drop stats are overrated.

Marshall is a beast. His attitude is a concern though, and mainly off the field. You never know when this guy is going to wake up one morning and kill some woman. He's a ticking time bomb.

Comparing to other teams making stupid trades is not an accurate barometer of value.

Dolphins gave up two 2nd round picks to get Marshall, even when Denver had no leverage, and only get two 3rd round picks in return from a team desperately needing WR help.

Total steal for the Bears, completely idiotic move by Miami.

Lloyd was coming off leading the NFL in receiving.

If Marshall is better than those guys, it isnt by much. They are all different kinds of receivers, but all essentially similar in the pantheon of current NFL WR's.

The point here, is WR's traditionally do not have great trade value, and two third round picks is a very good return for a guy who is clearly a step below elite and brings a certain amount of baggage. Miami did fine.
