Awful signing, but business as usual for the Skins.

He's very raw and has always been so.

for every explosive play Garcon makes (and to clarify Garcon has easily been the most explosive offensive player in Indianapolis (minus Manning) for the last 2 years) he's going to have a bonehead play where he just shows you how raw he is.

that said, he did manage to best Reggie Wayne last year. I believe it was because he is more physically talented than wayne and based off of our QB situation last year that hurt him less than it did Reggie.

It'll be interesting to see how he does in Washington because Garcon is a physically gifted athlete with the mean mental edge you need to be a great player in this league, if he was more polished he'd easily be one of the better players in the league.

Carriker was not a great re-signing he rated out as one of the worst D ends in the 3-4 defense and needs to improve his run defense.

There is always space for a guy like Mario Williams. If you didnt throw 12 mill at Josh Morgan, 42 million (I just puked in my mouth) at Drops Garcon and 20 million at Carriker there was Cap room for WIlliams. Who wouldnt want him on their team

I like it.... The trend is young. They are going for young receivers. I heard that they are close to signing Eddie Royal as well. So bye bye to Moss, Armstrong and Gaffney.

Im just wondering when their going to sign an o-lineman. RT Winston would be a great fit.

A team that already has Orakpo and Kerrigan? None of those three linebackers are a fit inside in a 3-4.

Garcon is not what I'd want for a young QB, as he's far too tempting to throw to, but will probably be very unreliable in that situation. Vincent Jackson would make much more sense.
As long as Griffin throws it 5 yards away where Garcon has to do a backflip to catch it they will be fine. If Griffin throws it right on the money all the time, they are in trouble.

you put Williams back at D-end on Kerrigans side to help him out. Williams isnt and never was a LB that was a dumb move by Houston.

He was a perfectly fine at LB in Houston. He was rushing the QB 95% of the time and he played well. There was nothing wrong with that.

I doubt he'd replicate the same kind of numbers we all know he's possible of as an interior DL.

Anyways a move like this would be considered a luxury and the Redskins have holes to fill.

He did have over 900 yards (best year of his career) with Kerry Collins/Curtis Painter/Dan Orlovsky at QB.

That is actually a very fair statement to see. I would like to see what working with Ike Hilliard will do, as he is taking over as receivers coach. I was opposed to the move at first, but now I am warming up to it the more I read. I think we still overpaid, but there is no doubting the talent and makeup that is there.

He was off to as good a start as ever before he went down. Williams is not the kind of guy who is going to sit on the line and take up bodies and stop the run. I think a big thing is having a healthy Jarvis Jenkins. Rotate him in on rushing downs instead of Carriker and he's going to swallow people up.

We have more needs, and Williams doesn't fill any of them. I'd love to have him too, but that was similar to signing Deion Sanders with Darrell Green and Champ Bailey on the roster.
