Brad Carrico and Jordan Prestwood are no longer on the team (medical hardship and "personal reasons" respectively). Cam Roberson is out for another season.

The helmet thing shouldn't be a surprise just because last year when they showed the helmets for the Maryland game they said they'd be using them for all the Shamrock Series games.

I'm betting the jerseys go back to something from around the Ara years with the yellow lettering/numbers etc. The Stadium Cups this year are that late 80's early 90's(obviously the Holtz era but you get my point) Yellow/gold that was on like every sweatshirt etc.

I can only think it's some odd combo of the gold/yellow you see on the Ara pic with the gold pants from the Holtz years.

SHAMROCK SERIES UNIFORM

Notre Dame students are often referred to as Domers, and the football helmets are meant to replicate the gilded dome. The Shamrock Series uniform also features gold metallic numbers, tying back to the Dome.
