OK, the actual story has come out...the charge is contempt of court, as Jones was not supposed to be drinking while in this program as part of his plea bargain for cocaine possession last year. This is in no way another charge for a controlled substance, and Jones was apparently forthright with saying that he had a couple beers (whatever a couple really means) while out golfing. He took a chance that he wouldn't get caught doing something usually benign that he knew he wasn't supposed to be doing, and it bit him.
He's still an idiot for what happened last year, and that's not changing...he needs to show a real change in judgment and keep his ass on the field, should the team choose to keep him on.Comment
