ESPN's Chris Mortensen reports Bill Parcells will not come out of retirement to serve as the Saints' interim head coach during Sean Payton's one-year suspension.
Mort reports Parcells is "certain to remain retired," so it appears the Big Tuna is done with his trademark waffling. Parcells had been publicly open to the idea, so it's possible the hang up was financial, and not a lack of desire from the 70-year-old future Hall-of-Famer. According to the New Orleans Times-Picayune, OL coach Aaron Kromer, OC Pete Carmichael and DC Steve Spagnuolo are the in-house favorites to fill-in for Payton.
