But why would an NFL team consider that a character issue. Maybe work ethic or that hes dumb. But doesnt mean he isnt a good guy.

Weight issues can point to bigger character issues like committment, personal responsibilty, etc.

I think too often people still associate "character issues" with only guys like Pacman or Vick and big trouble. People can have character issues that don't lead them to committ felonies.

How long after Stafford's name gets called, before it finally starts to sink in?

I don't know if I'm sold on Crabtree. He looked great when I did get to see him play but his durability and 40 time have some question marks surrounding them.

Not only that, but his stats were inflated due to the offense that he played in.

I really hope the Raiders take Maclin or Jason Smith if he's still on the board (which I doubt).

I think Crabtree is a better prospect than Maclin, but Maclin's a better fit for Oakland.. if that makes sense.

Crabtree's biggest strengths are route running and his hands. Maclin's biggest strengths are his speed and ability to make a play after the catch (or punt return) .. in a vertical offense that becomes more useful given the fact you want your guy to be able to separate from defenders.

I do believe Crabtree has game-changing type ability.. but would struggle a bit in a vertical attack. The west coast offense on the other hand... dude could be scary good.

And there's no way in hell Jason Smith drops to 7, unless Tonya Harding clubs both of his knees between now and draft day.

It's hard to say. Aside from Raji though, no senior helped his cause more than Ayers.

No Mark Sanchez. NO!

I think it will take a couple of years for Sanchez to show his potential but I think he will eventually be a very good QB. He is very driven and very willing to give that extra effort that is needed to be successful. Not only that, but he isn't a hot-headed cocky SOB, he wants everyone to like him and will try his hardest to please his teammates. He's a good guy.

That said, I don't think he's NFL ready just yet. But in the right offense I could see him step in sooner than expected and do well. The Broncos would be a nice fit for him. Let Simms start the first year and then hand over the reigns to Sanchez next season because let's be honest, the Broncos are still a few years away from being a contender so it's not like it matters.

I have heard Harvin's stock is sliding and Britt's is on the rise. Also think he fits the Bears offense a little better than does Heyward-Bey or Nicks.

I would be pleased with either (Maclin or Crab). I believe Crab is the more polished WR but Maclin has the potential to be a bigger play-maker.

The Raiders have two very young WRs in Chaz Shilens and Johnnie Lee Higgins. Both have great speed and Shilens has size (6'3" 225). Neither compare to Maclin or Crabtree but I think that Crabtree might actually be the better fit in the Oakland offense because JLH and Shilens have shown big play ability with their speed. The Raiders need a guy who can run crisp short/intermediate routes while working the middle of the field. In that apsect, I think Crabtree would be a better fit.

Maclin just looks like a missile in all of his highlights. He's so tempting. I think both will end up being great pro's.
