    I'm Calling it Now!

Baltimore Orioles C Matt Wieters is gonna be the AL Rookie of the Year. If you don't know who he is look him up.

LOL way to go out on a limb there. I also don't think A-Rod or Chipper will play 162 games this season.

I definitely think they'll go with Tex over Swisher. I mean Swish does provide that .240 average that you just can't replace, but Tex gives you that handsome look that will sell more tickets (no homo)

Also, I think that Boston will find a way to give that Youkilis guy some at bats. Wherever he plays, look for him to do some damage. I'm told he may be the next great hitter in beantown. Not sure though if this kid they have, Dustin Pedroiahoya or something like that is gonna play though, he's gonna have a hard time beating out Nick Green.

I thought most experts generally agreed that trading Hernandez away in January all but ensured Weiters would be with the big club on opening day? That's what I thought the consensus was at least, but if it wasn't I stand corrected.

Either way, he is all but assured being up with the club opening day at this juncture, and it's fairly obvious to say he'll have a strong rookie campaign. I think most writers have already given him the award in their mind.

And I fully realize how sick dude is. I'm hoping he does well and leads the O's out of the doldrums. I like the young team Baltimore's got, consider me a moderate follower of the Baby Orioles.

I kept hearing he'd be in AAA until June but with the way he is playing and how the rest of the team has been playing when Wieters is in is awesome. I'm looking forward to this year. I agree he will be playing from opening day.

his agent is scott boras, if they dont call him up until june/july, they wont have to pay him a lot of money, thats the reasoning behind it

its not like the orioles are going anywhere anyway

Can't wait for fucking baseball to start.
Pittsburgh sucks every year and still haven't gotten it together like some other teams. My dad is a huge Pirates fan, so I've got a bit of sympathy because that organization seems to have been run like shit. The Pre-2008 Arizona Cardinals of the MLB.

Thank god for that. I usually end up as the Pirates in any versions of MLB 2k. Usually takes an insane trade that'd never happen in order to get them up to prominence.

hard to compare a batter and a pitcher, but baseball america had wieters at 1 and price at 2
