The wife of former Vikings tight end Joe Senser has been convicted of two felonies relating to a fatal hit-and-run accident in August last year.

Amy Senser was convicted on charges of leaving the scene of an accident and failure to promptly report an accident, both of which are criminal vehicular homicide charges. Each charge carries a recommended sentence of four years in prison under state guidelines. She was acquited of another felony count and guilty of a misdemeanor charge of careless driving, according to the Minneapolis Star-Tribune.

Anousone Phanthavong, a 38-year-old man, was struck and killed by an SUV on August 23rd, 2011. Police eventually traced the car to the Senser household and learned that Amy Senser was behind the wheel that night. The defense centered around the claim that Senser didn’t know she hit a person that night, but the jury reached a different conclusion.

Sentencing in the case will be held on July 9th.
