The ACC basketball powers need to start positioning themselves selfishly and bucking the football schools, because it's inevitable what is going to happen here.

The Big East basketball schools have been at odds with the football schools for a decade. Because at the end of the day, they understand that this thing is going full circle, and the Big East will be back to being a (albeit weaker) basketball first league.

The Duke's and UNC's and Wake Forrest's of the world should do the same. Let these football schools do what they have to do, and preserve the basketball league for the post football armageddon.
