I said the same thing a few weeks ago.

Williams, the biggest scummer of all, is also the smartest. He admitted what he did, took it like a man, and quietly went away, never to be heard from again.

These players, along with the Saints organization, continue to bury themselves with their weak denials and refusal to let this die. Had everybody involved shut their stupid mouths and let this thing go away, none of this evidence would have ever been exposed by the league. The last thing Goodell wanted was to out this stuff, but the retard players forced his hand. Now, not only is there no doubt whatsoever as to what really went on, but now Vilma and the rest of these creeps have been outed as liars and look twice as bad.

Personally, I think Payton got off easy and should be banned indefinitely just like Williams. Same for Loomis. Williams was a subordinate and Payton & Loomis condoned this shit.

The NFLPA spin on some of this stuff is epically desperate and pathetic.

For example, the Saints used images of Dog the BOUNTY HUNTER in their materials, to which the NFLPA chalked up to "unfortunate and now ironic use of popular culture imagery".

LOL, ok. This of course was accompanied by handwritten tallies of bounty monies, including the infamous $10,000 offered up by Vilma for Favre, which he claims was totally made up out of thin air by evil Goodell.

Vilma, while attempting to position himself for a lawsuit, ended up hanging himself. What a geek.

          Drew Brees ‏@drewbrees

If NFL fans were told there were "weapons of mass destruction" enough times, they'd believe it. But what happens when you don't find any????
          What a creep.

Everyone associated with the Saints and especially their fans would still have that attitude even if their was video evidence of the coaches telling the players to not forget their cash for the big hits on Favre and company.

I guess handwritten tallies next to pictures of Dog THE BOUNTY HUNTER and email exchanges between Williams and a slimy ex-con discussing payments isn't enough evidence for Brees, but it is for normal people.

I relate it back to the Patriots (big surprise right?) and Spygate. Bill Belichick, a smart man, conceded his guilt and moved on from the situation. Williams, another coach and probably a very smart man, conceded guilt and moved on.

A millionaire 30 year old football player who only knows how to tackle tries to push buttons and cheat the system, thinking he is smarter than everyone else.

The difference between a wise man and an idiot is a wise man knows when to stop playing dumb.

Williams recanted his statement that was written by the league. As did others. How do you guys not know what is going on but are quick to vilify people on it?

Yeah, you're probably right. Everything was made up out of thin air by the NFL. Randomly. With no motive. Knowing that all of this brings nothing but negative attention to the league. That makes perfect sense.

Handwritten tallies, Williams on tape, emails, none of that matters. All a giant fabrication by Goodell. For shits and giggles.

Please get a grasp on reality and just stop. It's a football team, not your mother. No need to defend this to the death.

Misrepresentation is the correct word. Let's take a look at some of these tallies. Vilma was credited for 60 kills in 2010. Which I'm assuming you think means he hurt 60 people right. Seems a little outrageous. Tack on the 50 that Malcolm Jenkins was credited for in 2010. Those 2 alone have injured two entire rosters if you were to take the word kill literally. Hyperbole. Semantics. Anthony Hargrove got on a soap box outside of NFL HQ with his take on semantics and the tactics used by the league. Also I recall Roman Harper being paid 1000 for a cart off against the Giants. At no point in that game did Harper even tackled Brandon Jacobs(The only player injured in that game). When Jacobs got hurt Darren Sharper actually made that tackle. I am one to assume that you are too blind to even see the holes. Defending or not the shield's evidence has way too many holes. Why would these guys fight this hard if they know they are truly guilty. These confessions and apologies were all written by the league. Not by the "guilty" party. Just do a little research and you would see all the glaring holes throughout the entire process.

Horrible, horrible point in the bold.

                              Jerry Sandusky didn't plead guilty.

Roger Clemens obviously took steroids, yet risked prison to go against the feds in federal court in order to fight for his reputation.

                              OJ pleaded not guilty.

People lie every day, especially to protect their reputations, especially when they are public figures.

When I look at the evidence, I don't see "glaring holes". I see a tally sheet (with $10k next to Vilma's name) for the Vikings game alluding to going after Favre, I see Dog the BOUNTY HUNTER images used in conjunction with language that strongly suggests bounty payments, I heard Gregg Williams offer money on tape to go after a player with previous knee injuries and Alex Smith's head.

Maybe I don't see these "glaring holes" because i'm not looking through Saints colored glasses. Homer gonna homer.
