Chris Johnson Feels Just Like LeBron James

    Here are the quotes...

I feel just like LeBron — a lot of people are going to be back on the bandwagon. He had a lot of haters out there, a lot of people saying he wasn’t good and things like that and just to see how he overcame that and came back this year and won the championship, it shows his hard work and dedication.

I feel like a lot of people have written me off, I still went over 1,000 yards but it wasn’t a CJ2K year. So a lot of people are going to write me off. . . . I want to be the first one to do it twice, that’s certainly a goal of mine to do. . . . I feel like I’m still the best back in the league. When I ran for 2,000 yards my goal was to be the best player in the league and I still want to be that. In order for my team to make it to the playoffs, make it to the Super Bowl, I’m going to have to be the best.
Just talk, or are you expecting a classic bad ass year from Johnson?

I wouldn't say I'm expecting a bad-ass year from Johnson as far as him hitting 2000 yards again, but he's definitely going to be better and more explosive than last season. 1700-1800 yards is definitely not out of the question.

The addition of Steve Hutchinson is all you need to know.

Shaun Alexander, Adrian Peterson and now Chris Johnson will benefit.

Yeah I think he'll be fine. The way the league has become so pass-happy could see him lose opportunities for yards, but then again, it's the Titans.

Its been a long time since Hutchinson was a dominant player. Hes still good but he wont have anywhere near the impact he did before unless hes found the fountain of youth. His experience and attitude may help the line as a whole but dont expect gaping areas on the left side like in times past.
Best reason to have a license.

Yep. I think Johnson's success will go hand in hand with the ability of Locker to keep DBs out of the box by being consistent in the passing game.

You're right, he's not the top G in the league like he was with Alexander, but I think his presence alone will improve that oline dramatically. Look at what Waters did in New England this year. Could be wrong though, we'll see.

Chris Johnson is more Steve Francis than Lebron.

Well then he better make sure that in no point in the season does Matt Schaub equal him in rushing TD's.

I could see him getting around 1400 yards. Probably not too much more than that. He won't be as good as his 2000 season and I think the Titans will pass more this upcoming season than they have in a while.

Leroy Harris was the worst guard in football last year. Hutchinson will make a huge difference.

I expect 1300-1500 yards with more touchdowns and a higher YPC. He wasn't completely himself over the past two seasons, but if anyone actually watched a Titans game (and believe me, I know most of you didn't) they would see defensive linemen constantly get into the backfield courtesy of Eugene Amano and Harris's awful blocking attempts. The Titans' interior line might have been the worst run blocking interior line in football last season.

He's good, but he shouldn't be comparing himself to Lebron.

That being said, I expect at least 1500 yards this season.
