Unless we randomize, I will have the first pick in my office league and I will take Rodgers. It's getting way too risky to take RB and WR in the first round. With all the rules protecting the QB these days, it's the safest position on the field.Comment

Not to mention they are the ones scoring the most points. A 240 point RB, or a 300 plus point QB? I know who I am taking.Comment

But now with split carries, it's extremely rare to see 400 carry or 2,000 yd RBs. And when you do see them, they are so beat down that you can pretty write them off next season. So you've got decreased workloads all around the league, more injuries and pass-orientated offenses....
With a #1 pick in the draft, I just don't want to fuck it up and grab a RB who's knee may explode in Week 2. Know what I mean? I'm going with the safe pick and "rolling the dice" on some high end platoon backs with my 2nd and 3rd picks.Comment

All depends on scoring.. I think you go Foster though. Rodgers would be a close second.
There are plenty of good QB's to go around though, can't say the same thing about a RB.Originally posted by ram29jacksonI already said months ago that Seattle wasn't winning any SBComment

Definitely LT, Faulk & Holmes are in decline and i'd say Manning but I never like taking QB's #1.Comment

I found last year in a league I was in where I went RB heavy injuries really just hammered away at my team. I had Gore, Forte and McFadden all by the end of round 4. Gore specifically really got beat up during the middle of season (which expecting his work load isn't surprising) and when Mcfadden got injured I ended up going into desperation mode and traded forte away.
The year before I dominated by going QB heavy (Had brees, vick and cassel).
If I got first overall Rodgers would easily be the way to go.
WR's btw can all die in a fire.
