#1 pick in Fantasy Football 2012

last year won both lgs for close to 1k i think, my bigger lg i picked up cruz after his game vs rams.

anyways im goin qb cause they r the hot sht and once u draft u gonna be waiting a long time before it comes back and hopefully i could create some kind of fake rush on qbs leaving a top 5-6 rb when it get backs to me.

also i play with some idiots, one year this raider fan drafted all raiders. last year this guy had 4 players on IR, and another guy drafted p. manning with his 2nd pick.

We have 8 people in our league and I draft 6th. I believe it'll go Rodgers, Brady, Foster, Mccoy, Brees.....
It's down to 2 players for me Wr Calvin Johnson or Qb Cam Newton. If I select Cam I guarentee Calvin will be off the board with those 4 picks until my next. If I select Calvin, I can maybe get CAM or for sure just settle for Vick.
I just feel like Calvin Johnson is that much better than the rest of the Wr's while Cam could be replaced by a guy like Vick what do you guys do?

They were still talking about him playing the last few games midway through the season. Around this time last year all the way up until opening day he was expected to miss a few games.

If your thinking of settling for Vick just remember he puts up good fantasy numbers, but he misses a lot of time too. Cam will prob score more points than Johnson too since he's a QB and he also gets rushing TDs. If it's PPR i'd look at Welker too if your set on getting a WR 1st for whatever reason.

Calvin all the way. Huge producer and only had one, maybe two games last season where he only scored single digit points.

Strategy in a fantasy draft usually goes out the window pretty quickly. Somehow I managed to get the 5 guys I wanted in the first 5 rounds (Shady, CJ, Blount, Welker, and Witten) and I won the league. But it wasn't because of that, it was more because I pulled Marshawn Lynch in like the 8th round and got Jordy off the waiver wire. My QB was Schaub, but after he went down it rotated between Alex Smith, Palmer, and Hasselbeck.

Almost everyone should be able to get a good RB, 2 good wrs, and a good QB. Its getting that 2nd rb or 3rd wr that'll put you over the top. And luck.

Maybe this year I'll put some effort into drafting. I know I suck at FF.

Last season I had the 11th pick of a 12 team league. I took Chris Johnson and on the comeback I took Matt Ryan since everyone went QB heavy. By the time it got to me again I needed another QB so I had to go Matt Cassel. And then the wheels fell off as I just went stupid and picked Gates and Witten for my 2 TE's (we use 2) and then Green Bay defence. Needless to say I was just fucking around.

Unless you can get one of the few elite qbs you can usually wait to get a decent one. I got Romo in round 5 or 6 this year.
