Matthew Berry is pretty good overall as a fantasy news source. Nobody should ever replace your gut feeling though. I only lean on those guys when I am conflicted over a start or roster move.

Alex Smith over Joe Flacco???

Flacco has consistently thrown for over 3600 yards and 21+ TDs over the last 3 years. Smith has yet to do that once in his career.

I guess I'm underestimating the impact of Randy Moss.

He's overestimating it like crazy. You have a championship defense, and three solid running backs, the last thing you're going to want to do is air it out and allow for miscues. There's nothing that separates Matthew Berry from any other knowledgeable fantasy person, he just got lucky and gets paid to do it. It's like predicting the weather.

No it wasn't. The way Vick plays is hazardous, and he's always due for an injury. The safer play was Ray Rice.

I believe Brandon Marshall is going to have a monster season. Better than Gronk or Graham. I also feel like TE's should come down a little. Teams are going to be gearing up to cover those guys this season. NO SURPRISES

I just can't buy into this guy -- if I need a random stat that his studying finds, that's one thing. However, in his list above he ranks Ryan Mathews 10th with an injury. Yet in his column last week he writes:

1. According to FootballOutsiders.com, in 32 career games, Ryan Mathews has been on the injury report 15 times, or almost half his games.

2. That includes two games when he was listed as "questionable" and didn't play, and one game (Week 13, 2010) where he was actually listed as "probable," was active for the game but didn't get on the field.

3. This season, the Chargers have just four games that start at 1 p.m. ET.

So you don't trust the guy at all with injuries, you got burned by Vick last year yet you have this guy ranked 10th still?
