Fair enough and for all of Cutler's faults, I still want the Lions to go after him. The Lions have never had a quarterback with the potential Cutler has. I mean our best quarterback over the past twenty years was Scott fucking Mitchell. Thats it, this team is utter garbage at the QB position.

Knowing our luck Cutler will suck at QB here too, but I'm willing to take the risk.

These stats were taking from the last 3 games. Shows Cutler playing below mediocre and him actually having a run game .

And I think the last couple of posts in between this one and yours will speak for me. He's a drama queen, and really not the player people make him out to be. I see him as a Brett Favre Jr., and I've always hated Brett Favre (maybe I'm biased).
I'm with you about Calvin. I just don't think he's the best yet. In my mind, I think only Larry Fitzgerald is a better receiver than Calvin Johnson. I don't even want to think about what he'd do if he played for the Cards, Cowboys, Patriots, Colts, Saints, Eagles, or Giants.

I'll give you that based on production. Fitz is no doubt a beast.

And as for the other comment, I'm glad I don't have to think about it. It takes a lot of balls to shit the bed with almost every pick since you've been a GM, and be the laughing stock to always take wide receivers, and STILL go after Calvin Johnson. So if I can say anything good about Matt Millen, I commend him for having a backbone and believing in himself, and picking CJ regardless of what people said.

To have the year he had last year with the QBs we had, and the offense we had (him being our ONLY weapon), is simply incredible. I'm loving our new direction with Schwartz/Mayhew, and I can't wait to see this guy in the future.

Perhaps you can explain what you mean and tell us why this is a positive for McDaniels (or, perhaps you can't).
It's a take no shit, this is a fucking business of winning tone. The same approach you see BB take with the powerhouse known as the New England Patriots, where McDaniels probably learned a thing or two.

This appears to boil down to one thing, the fact that McDaniels told Cutler at there lil chit chat....that he's not untouchable. Cutler hasn't earned the right to be untouchable, so fuck him for being a baby and making a media circus. Had Cutler's ego not swallowed him whole already he'd accept that TRUTH and shut the fuck up about it, like an NFL exec stated he should.

I don't see the Broncos running to the media and causing circles of twisted stories and tales of woe. It's all coming from Cutler's side.

Who's more important to Jay Cutler? Jay Cutler or the Denver Broncos? He chose himself. How about he takes a good look in the fucking mirror and figures out why the fuck would they want to trade him? Then like a true professional, or leader, gets his problems solved and plays some better, winning football.

Or he could cry about it, point fingers, show he's not mature enough to lead a pro football team and get sent to the Lions.

Charlie Weis and Romeo Crennel probably didn't learn a thing or two. And McDaniels obviously didn't learn what it would take to get Cassel from BB. Oops!

LOL at your 'boiling down' of the issue. I would assume that anyone with a brain would say that the issue is McDaniels wanted to replace Cutler with Cassel before giving Cutler any chance...and without knowing if he'd even have Cassel on his roster. That appears to have been the issue, no?

I have to agree wth you .....I'm not sure when it happened, but since when did Cutler become a guy who is untouchable? The real issue hear is that Cutler due to his massive sized ego thought he was untouchable and McDaniels basically pooped on Cutler's parade. Now Cutler's butt is hurt and wants out. However, Cutler also knows he's under contract and isn't realistically going anywhere (lol.....unless its for Cassel), so he's playing the squeaky wheel role in order to force his way out.

Now given the fact that the other option is Chris Simms Cutler is demanding a trade to put the organization in a bad spot. Cutler is one of those guys who has to have his ego stroked to feel important, and it appears McDaniels didn't do that in their last meeting, so his butt is hurt. In the end McDaniel and Cutler will get together, McDaniel will throw a bone or two to refill Cutler's ego and everything will be okay. However, McDaniel has really screwed this thing up, but not so much for going after Cassel, but instead going after Cassel, not getting him letting this story get out.

They dealt with Pioli over McDaniels.....so? Not that that's surprising.

It's straight from the NFL website, I'm not drawing conclusions out of my ass. LOL @ your mockery.

Yes McDaniels wanted to replace him with Cassel, anyone with a brain would realize that Cassel knows McD's system and turns the ball over far less frequently than Cutler. While the Patriots failed to qualify for the post season (even at a very respectable 11-5), Cassel won down the stretch when he had to. Cutler had four fucking chances to win his division and failed like the dickhole he is.

Anyone with a brain would realize that Cassel would be a better fit in what McD wants to do in Denver. You don't need the BEST QB to win a superbowl, you need the RIGHT QB for what your team is trying to do on the field. Cutler is not the right QB for what this guy is going to do in Denver. Get fucking over it.

Cutler was crying about how McDaniels has no confidence in him because he wouldn't declare he was untouchable. IS this not what he was crying about?

McDaniels preference for Cassel over Cutler is irrelevant. I'm sure many coaches in the NFL would prefer a guy like Brady or Manning over whatever dickhole they have playing QB for them. I don't see other QB's crying about that now do I?

Did some guy in this thread actually say that Cutler is starting to come across as having a large ego?

                      It's Jay Cutler.

One thing I never understood about Bronco fans over at MM, is how they would bash San Diego fans and Philip Rivers for having an attitude problem... When their starting quarterback is Jay Cutler. The most cocky below .500 quarterback I've seen play, since Ryan Leaf.

How anyone can say Cutler is stupid or like TO (even though I don't think TO was bad in Dallas) is laughable. His team tried to trade him away and instead of doing the smart thing and just saying it was in the past and lets move on, the coach basically says how he still isn't completely sold on him and that if he could, he would get his former backup QB.

I'm not going to say Cutler isn't being slightly a baby, but McD did the complete wrong thing. When making amends, you don't bring up shit like that, you just say "Hey, it was in the past, you're our QB" and move on. That is exactly what Cutler even wanted to hear. Those meetings are a dime a dozen in any professional field and the fact that Denver's coach couldn't pull that off is remarkable.

damn, this thing just got huge fast. cutler and McDaniels bith tried to puff out their chests and take control and they both end up looking like idiots. How can the Broncos get value for a player now percieved to be a diva? I hope Simms is all healed up and ready to go, cuz he is now the future of that offense. McDaniels better not go 4-12 this year or he will be one and done.

I could see the Bucs trying to get Cutler, but the most likely senario is him going to Detroit for picks. The 9ers would be good for him as well, but I don't know their status on draft picks or cap room off hand. I don't see him going to the Vikings as has been mentioned, but stranger shit has happened.

I dont see why the vikings wouldnt be interested, Houshyamama hinted that the reason he didnt sign with Minnesota was because of their starting qb.
