As a huge Jaguars fan, from day 1 and the coin flip, I will say that i am high disappointed in Matt Jones. The guy has shown in several games and at different points that he can be a impact go to guy. The problem with him is he was a first rounder. He didnt need to be. Matt Jones should have either A.) stayed as a QB where he Excelled at Ark. or he should have been brought along slowly. With the release of Jimmy Smith back in the days when Matt jones first came aboard, the Jaguars seriously missed a great chance at bringin along a WR the proper way. By giving him somoene to look up to and learn from.

This just bolsters the chance of the Jaguars going after Crabtree or Macklin in the draft. With a depth chart that now has Walker and Northcutt as the top WR's on the team the Jaguars are in desperate need of a WR in the draft and i pray they take the time and look at the best choice and grab one of the two guys i mentioned.

The sad part is Matt Jones is going to catch on somewhere and he is going to clean up his act. With the Addition of Tra Thomas at OL the Jaguars are just making thier offense better, all we need is a WR or two and to start playing FOOTBALL and stop worryin about money and who is gettin what or who aint gettin it.

Jimmy Smith wasn't released. He retired because he thought he couldn't play at a high level anymore.

I think teams will line up to sign Matt. He is pretty good for a white guy, and his work-out numbers were so good. He's a dude who possesses 4.3 speed. He's a bit of a fixer-upper, but he's going to be a huge lift to a team in need of a quick fix.

He really knows how to score. He can get his hands on 7 or 8 balls a game.

I laughed at "8 balls" per game.. and the use of the word line.

Too bad the Giants are looking for a WR that doesn't have off the field issues.

I wouldn't mind having him on my squad. Highly doubt it, but I wouldn't be upset if so.

I have a Kordell Stewart jersey. I might have to start rocking that shit again.

I'm happy we cut him, it sends a character message throughout our locker room, if your gonna set a bad example and not follow rules, then your gone. Great move on our part.

Foo me once, shame on me. Fool me twice, shame on you.

I guess they figured he had already been suspended and would learn from his mistakes. Can't say I blame them, they invested a ton in the guy and he was over his suspension.
