alot of good plays posted...but i thinnk some people are confusing greatest catch with greatest pass. like holmes catch or even worse, randalls pass.....he just lobbed it up madden style and his receiver got lucky because of a retarded DB....no way is that a great pass.

I'm not really looking at historical significance or scrambling before the pass. I'm looking at the pass itself. Douglass threw a 60+ yard bullet and his feet weren't even really set. Vick's ball was nice but it has way too much air under it. I can't even comment on the other postings because they are too retarded. Eli Manning's pass to Manningham is the greatest pass ever?

i think eli's pass was better than douglas. throwing a 60 yard bullet to a wide open receiver is nothing for an NFL QB.....ok, throwing the 60 yard bullet isnt nothing....its arm strength, but its not like it takes alot of skill to just zing it. Eli's pass required tremendous skill and finesse to place the ball in a perfect spot. imo thats alot harder to do than just whipping the ball as hard as you can.

Why does how much air Vick's pass having make it any worse of a throw? Looked like a pretty perfect throw to me.

I'm not really looking for perfect accuracy. More of looking for the prettiest looking pass. Very subjective. To me, Douglass' pass is great because he throws it in a straight line and it just zooms out of his hand. Vick's pass is a great pass, but it looks like every other good deep pass.

I think the distance of it is what is so crazy, he lets it go from his own 4 yard line.
