          He would have had to thrown it past the line of scrimmage for it not to have been an intentional grounding penalty. And the intentional grounding penalty would have been a "spot of the foul" penalty with loss of down, so McCallister wouldn't have been saving any yardage.

            Yeah, I just think it was worth a shot rather than just giving up the yardage. Let's say there is a 10% chance of Duece throwing it far enough, if he does, that's a 26 yard swing. If he doesn't it's the same loss of yardage. The ultimate "nothing to lose" proposition.

                Still a decent chance it will be intentional grounding if there is no receiver in the area. And there is a possibility of an INT. McCallister should have done a quick kick and punted the ball 50 yards downfield.

                    Lets say a ball carrier loses control of the ball behind the line of scrimmage, and accidentally kicks it forward with his calf.

                    Is that a punt?
