I'll take a guy who has more poor throws as long as they make 10x the number of big plays, and that's what Brady/Rogers/Brees do vs. Matt Ryan.

QB can go 10 for 11 on 5 yard passes and it inflates the statistics vs. a QB who goes 6 for 10 on 40 yard passes.

Ryan is good, but he's nowhere near the class you are putting him in.

Yeah, the intermediate and deep ball is what separates those guys from Ryan. He is "elite" (hate that fucking word now thanks to VSN quarterback discussions btw) at low percentage passes within 5-10 yards of the LOS, but anything beyond that and he is league average at best.

Ryans not even that impressive when it comes to those short passes. In 2010 once Moss left those short passes are all Brady threw, and look at how well he did statistically.

I was just about to make a similar post questioning what percentage of "bad throws" were 15+ yards. The Patriots take shots and there is a much greater chance to have an overthrow on a pass of 15-20+ yards and thus a higher rate of "bad throws."
