Cool little 26min. movie done by a student at The Academy of Art University in San Francisco. Documents Smith's journey thus far and the 49ers turnaround. Good amount of in game sound bites and interviews, crazy Jim Harbaugh is also always entertaining to watch.

Whether or not you like Alex Smith or the 49ers shouldn't matter, even though the video is probably a little premature since Smith really hasn't done anything but I'll give the student a break since he obviously did this for school.

I like that it's not super professional and you can tell that it is done by a student.

OK, he's not Peyton Manning ... but he was drafted at 20 years old, has had injuries, and had way too many offensive co-ordinators and insane Mike Singletary as a head coach.

funny how they quoted singletary saying they need a QB....last season showed they only needed a coach. smith is very underrated imo and showed that with the right coaching he is a very good QB

You guys are missing the point. I don't really care about Alex smith, I like sports and stories about athletes and I appreciate little films like this that try to encompass the challenges and obstacles that athletes face and overcome.

Nobody said he's a top 20 qb, either. I don't understand why some of you are too stupid to enjoy a simple little school project film about an athlete without throwing a hissy fit and trying to turn this into a debate that nobody cares to have with you.

So far he's disappointed to say the least but if the Niners win 10-13 games each season for the next 5 years and win 1 super bowl it won't matter and it will be a pretty interesting story and turnaround.

Harbaugh is the architect though and really deserves most of the credit. He is trying to establish them as the Pittsburgh Steelers / Baltimore Ravens of the NFC and I don't see why he wont succeed.
