Report: Titans WR Kenny Britt rips his punishment from team for missing rehab
By Josh Katzowitz | NFL Blogger

    August 9, 2012 10:42 am ET

Britt was fined for missing a rehab assignment. He apparently wasn't a big fan of that decision. If Titans receiver Kenny Britt was worried about visiting Roger Goodell's office twice in one year after he continues to have a tough time staying out of trouble off the field, perhaps he also should be concerned about using social media to blast his team.

Apparently, that thought didn't cross Britt's mind Wednesday when he complained on Instagram about getting fined by his team for missing a rehab workout. So, to recap: Britt supposedly missed a rehab workout, drawing the ire of the Titans. The team fined him $9,915. And Britt took to the Inter-tubes to write this (via the Tennessean):

“Yu gotta be (expletive) kidding me.. walk back to dis.. Don't dey know I have kids .. I'm tired of did (expletive).”

Which has to be somewhat infuriating for the team, especially considering it seems like Britt STILL doesn't get it (even after eight legal entanglements since he joined the team in 2009, including a DUI last month).

Britt, who's working back from offseason arthroscopic knee surgery, apparently missed the rehab workout Tuesday.

This is what he told the Tennessean on Wednesday when asked about his meeting with Goodell.

“It was a personal meeting and I would rather just wait and see what happens," Britt said. "I am a man about what I did and I will take it on the chin on whatever he decides and move forward.

"What is my gut telling me? I really don't know. He didn't really give me any body language on what is going to happen. He just wasn't really pleased about seeing me in there. No person would like to see a player in their office twice in one year."

And no team wants to see a player complaining about what seems like a perfectly legit punishment for missing a rehab assignment.
I love that fucking comment. Amazing how this guy made it through college.

    Ban his stupid ass.

To think, the Giants could have taken him over Nicks.

Total moron. Hopefully he's suspended. You'd think a guy that has suffered as many injuries as him would be more grateful for a chance to get on the field and help his team and not take all of this for granted. Obviously, he just doesn't get it and it doesn't look like he ever will.

Guys like this deserve to be thrown into a cell for 6 months to a year just so they appreciate their freedom and opportunities a little more. Some people gotta learn the hard way.

The not so dirty little secret behind Greg Schiano turning Rutgers into a success for the first time in 100 years, was Rutgers allowing him to bring in mouth breathers like Britt. The coaches before Schiano were handcuffed by Rutgers being one of the last D1 hold outs of holding athletes to the real academic standards of the school.

athletes are athletes..they arent hired to think. He is a physical freak, thats why he gets the chance to make millions

They are meat to run and catch balls. If they were like Joe Jurevicious and Ricky Prohl, sports would be boring.
