I think Grant is looking for a long term deal. Sounded like he wasn't liking what the Packers were offering, either.

We don't need him to be an heavy part of our offense we need to come in pass block and give us 5-10 decent carries a game.

I was a relief to see Benson out there with one cut ability. Every other RB we have hesitates way too long. It was nice to see Benson pick a hole and go. If we can get any of the success he had last night during the regular season, our offense is unstoppable.

Cedric Benson is great, if you want a RB who isn't fast, is not elusive, and is not particularly powerful.

A couple of years ago, when he had that big year for the Bengals, he was running behind the best run blocking line in football. He would "burst" through gaping holes, and run in a straight line until the first defender he came in contact with tackled him.

Benson performing better than Grant is the most likely scenario, however, if he's on the exact same level, it's a huge win for the Packers. Grant was looking for a long term deal, yet TT was able to get Benson for the veterans minimum.

Yes, yes it was. It was like I had forgotten what it looked like to see a back actually burst into the second level, and not run into a blocker and fall forward for a yard.
