    Jets Offense

    35 Possessions: 0 TD's

Sanchez has been bad, Tebow has been worse.

I thought this Tony Sparano/Ground N Pound re-emergence was suppose to revitalize this offense?

What's the over/under on their first regular season touchdown?

I'm not taking any bet relating to their offense. We all know how pre-season trends can blow up, but I don't think this is the case with the Jets. They appear too inept, and with Tebow and Sanchez, there just isn't a clear direction of things. And you can just imagine how things will be when one struggles. I will predict at least two changes in the starting QBs though. Shonn Greene better get ready for a long season.

Part of it stems from the ineptness at RT...it was completely destroying the passing game because Sanchez couldn't get much of a pocket when Hunter is a turnstyle over there. The 1st possession we had, we actually went intermediate, which is shocking because I haven't seen that in about 2 years from the Jets. The passing game will only get better as Holmes, Kerley, Keller, Hill, Turner continue to get PT...Sanchez hasn't played much with his top guys so far in camp...last night he looked pretty good. Aside from the penalties that drove us a back a bit when we got close, I liked how much better the offense looked. Still a long ways to go, but it's clear the defense will drive this team once again.

It has to, as they have to win the field position battle. This will not be an explosive offense, and will win based off what their defense does for them.

yeah but unfortunately, we still are lacking in a few areas...I like Greene but we can upgrade and get a back who can be more explosive off the ball. Greene to me is a better #2 back, something along the lines of a Michael Bush type to me. Then the punter spot, Conley sucks and he can't flip field position like Lechler, etc...(I know Raiders supposedly got another punter who can boom shit behind him).

They should just play Tebow, run the ball, and churn clock like Denver did last season. Tebow won't turn it over and will make dynamic plays a few times per game. People will make fun of him like derps, and he'll just go out and win close games.

Let's face it, Tebow is going to end up starting for this team anyway, so just cut to the chase.

It's actually smarter for them to start Sanchez and let him fail to seal the deal once and for all. Tebow is the "come back kid." Throw him in after Sanchez lays an egg or two to energize the team and fans and see what he can do.

True. Then they can turn the page on Sanchez for good, and then use the Tebow Time gimmick to keep fan interest for the rest of the season.

Tebow is awful, cut this stuff out...his iNT he threw on sunday was the worst pass I've ever seen from a QB.

Tebow is getting in Sanchez head already and it's a bad sign of things to come. He was doing well last year until the final few games when Santonio went off on him for not giving him the ball in OAK, that scared Sanchez he's already sensitive enough. Now we bring in Tebow to "help" our offense not only will it fuck the team up all the media will rally around Tebow no matter what happens putting Sanchez in a worse state of mind then he needs to be in.

He's just a headcase right now and it's showing in these first few games of pre-season I don't see this story ending with a happy family of Sanchez and Tebow staying on the Jets beyond this season.

The Jets are running a college system..Tebow will come in when they reach the 20-25 yard line / in the redzone. Thats why he is there

There's your problem. Fist-pumps all around. Hope you are ready for them and clapping after failed drives and field goals.

Stealth, there was the notion Sanchez and Holmes didn't speak since like week 4 of the season actually. I actually think Sanchez believes Tebow is a total non-factor. The pressure has been on mark from NY media and fans. No amount of Tebow can make it worse I feel. But since we haven't seen the official quote on quite offense yet with the Tebow package, I shouldn't speak so quickly on it yet.

Sanchez got sand-bagged by the Jets front office. What did they do to improve the offense and the line? Where are the game-breakers? All Tannenbaum gave his QB was a big distraction. Look at what Mark had his first two years - one of the best O-lines in the league, a solid running attack and receivers he had chemistry with. Sanchez isn't great, but he can make plays - we saw it during the Jets two playoff runs. So explain how he can succeed with this motley crew? Aside from Holmes, which Jet scares the defense?
