    Rate my team(s)

I finished up the last of my 3 fantasy drafts last night. All are 12 owner leagues with no PPR. I got stuck with low draft picks in the MDK (8th) and PastaPadre (11th) leagues but did at least get the 4th pick in the Alamo league. The MDK and Alamo leagues both pay out $1K to the winner and $500 to the runner up. Pasta's pays out $250 to the winner and maybe $50 to the runner up.

How do you guys think it turned out? I'm more worried about MDK and PastaPadre obviously since this isn't a good year to be picking late.

Alamo is your best team, followed by PastaPadre. I really like PastaPadre's team as well, but your bench is full of safe bets which should be useful. Just keep an eye on the waiver wire.

MDK has a lot of work cut out for it, and has a lot of injury risks with Gates, Matthews and Harvin. Looks like you went BPA and have a great group of TEs, so you may want to use them as trade bait.

You can definitely see the difference in how the team looks based on draft position. I won MDK 2 years ago and lost in the Super Bowl last year thanks to a 20 point bonus for my opponent when Pittsburgh pitched a shut out on defense. I've made the playoffs the last 2 years in Alamo but was one and done. All 3 leagues are highly competitive and you have to work hard for every waiver wire pick and get a little luck from time to time to succeed.

If anyone needs a reminder that Fantasy Football is a cruel mistress....the Alamo League where the consensus was that I had a good roster is indeed leading the league in points after 8 weeks but my record is only 3-5 and I am 5th in my division. In Murder Death Kill, I am 134 points behind the leader but have a 5-3 record thanks to a little luck and that I was able to trade for RG III. In PastaPadre, I am 300 points behind the leader and sit at 2-6 but I did beat Pasta this week. He is also at 2-6 and has the 3rd highest points in the league.

The longer I play fantasy football, the more I realize that point consistency is just one part of the equation. You have to be lucky as hell to go along with it.

I'll agree with that, in my one primary league I kept Calvin Johnson, Jamaal Charles, Ryan Matthews and MJD, ended up drafting Romo, Nicks and Andre Johnson, and that team is 1-7 now. Everyone thought with those keepers and starting roster, I would have crushed them all, and not in the bottom of the league.
