NFL Sunday Ticket returns this season to PS3

Good to hear this confirmed. It was very popular last season and will likely be even bigger this year at the lower $299 price point.

DIRECTV’S NFL Sunday Ticket Returns to PS3, Launches in September

    Hello PlayStation Nation!

NFL SUNDAY TICKET is returning in time for the NFL‘s regular season opening weekend on September 9th.

All existing DIRECTV subscribers who have the NFL SUNDAY TICKET MAX plan will be able to download the PS3 application from PlayStation Network for free, and live stream every out-of-market NFL football game every Sunday afternoon this season in full HD.

In addition, you will have access to DIRECTV’S the RED ZONE CHANNEL at no additional charge. RED ZONE delivers the final yards of every scoring drive and other exciting moments from all Sunday afternoon games as they happen, and it’s a great way to stay on top of the day’s highlights.

For all of you fantasy football aficionados, the NFL SUNDAY TICKET app also includes up-to-the-minute stats to help you keep track of every play on the field. If you play NFL.com fantasy, you can follow your fantasy team in real time while watching games Sunday afternoon.

PS3 owners without access to DIRECTV will also be able to receive NFL Sunday Ticket and live stream every out-of-market NFL football game this season for $299.95.

We’re very excited to see the return of the definitive NFL football app on PlayStation Network. Keep an eye out for the launch of NFL SUNDAY TICKET with the PlayStation Store update on September 4th.

i hope they allow it to be paid in one payment this year instead of having to pay each month. i know it doesn't change the price, but i would rather just pay the 300 one time.

So glad this is back and for $100 cheaper. I got it last year in Week 2 of the season (didn't live through the disastrous week 1 thankfully) and it ran great for me all year long. No stuttering and in close to, if not HD quality as well. I would hope with the opening weekend fiasco last year, they learned their lesson and it's smooth sailing from the getgo this year.

Too bad I can't pay for a month of this like last year. I only have off Sundays in September and December so it doesn't make sense for me to pay the $300 lump sum.

Where did it say you have to pay one lump sum? I too liked the monthly installments, I didnt get it until week 3 or 4 of last season and said fuck it the last 4-5 weeks of the season because the Bucs were playing so horribly. I would like that option if we shit the bed once again.

So in other words, you are only looking for the first month.
All you need to know when thinking of the NHL vs Madden series is the two people involved in making the games.

                  "rammer" and "cummings"

The NHL series is a giver, Madden takes the load.

So apparently you do have to pay the $300 in it's entirety. The reason being people didn't have credit card active on their PSN accounts so it got too "messy" to manage. That really sucks since this week and the next are gonna be tight on the wallet for me. Guess I'll be streaming this weekend's game.

Really wasn't worth it last year. I rather just stream the Jags on my computer for free and keep the Redzone channel on my TV. This is for the very wealthy and extreme football fan who NEEDS to see his team on a 60 inch TV.
