you have to call to get it removed on your own. Otherwise, next year they'll sneak a bill for a month of pre-season games.

    No.

All DirecTV sports packages are recurring, and you need to call them to cancel. You were not billed for preseason games, you were billed the first monthly installment for the regular season. Sunday Ticket does not offer preseason games.

Ok. Figured they would cancel on their own since I hadn't actually paid for any of it yet.

Pretty much everything in the world that gives you a limited free trial automatically turns into a full subscription, thats sort of the point :P

That's not how Xbox Live works.

You have until before the season starts to cancel. Call them today and they will credit your bill.

Do people not read their bills? It states that "in the next upcoming month you will be billed for NFL Sunday Ticket.....unless you cancel...you can not cancel after the season has started." I called because they were going to charge me the Max Plan which is more than the advertised $200 price. I got the cheaper plan (6 payments/$32.99) that only gives me all the games at HD (no computer access, mobile app or NFL Redzone).

edit: As for Xbox Live, don't they charge you if you have put down your CC # into their system? I recall some people complaining in the past because they didn't get the cheaper prices (Amazon offered cards at a discount). I just don't trust gaming systems when it comes to credit card info, so I have always bought subscription cards and PSN/Xbox Points cards.

You're pretty retarded for not realizing this.

Just called them and boy oh boy did they hook it up. Ol' boy forgot to charge me for dat Ticket (though I did have to agree to a 2-year extension of service so maybe he just forgot to realize that would happen as he was reading back my charges), and I got two additional HD-DVR receivers free. All I am paying is the installation fee for all of that.

Yeah, pretty much every business ever does this. Get you hooked with a free trial, and now they charge you.

                          Drug dealers, too...

I find it slightly humorous that anyone could NOT know they are being charged for the following year. They tell you when you sign up, they send you paperwork on it, and it's on your bill.

Of course you have to call. What company would decide, well, we should warn them that we will charge them so they can cancel. They want your business.
