Need trade advice!!!

Ok here we go...

I have Darren McFadden on my team. As you all know he can be a top 5 RB or he can be injured for a few games. So I made sure I got his supposed backup Mike Goodson. Not it seems that Taiwan Jones will be the back up and is having a great pre-season.

Jones is owned by the same GM that owns Adrian Peterson. I have Toby Gerhart, so I offered him Gerhart for Jones. He said yes, but now I am getting cold feet. I am thinking that AP can go down and be #1 but if Mcfadden goes down Goodson and Jones may share carries. Do I make this trade Yay or Nay...

Gerhart is borderline useless this year unless AP goes down again. You can't use Gerhart at all, as it'll be a 50/50ish split week 1 and even worse after that.

That said, not sure how I feel about handcuffing yourself with two backups wasting roster spaces. At this point you're risking AP injury vs DMC injury and that's impossible to tell. Doesn't help/hurt you to do the trade, probably just hold onto Gerhart and hope you get lucky.

Hold onto Gerhart would be what I do. At the very least, you retain some leverage if AP goes down, and having other teams handcuffs never does hurt. I would hold onto him until at least the bye week.
