can u guys ever remember a season with more rookies QB starting week 1 as the #1 guy? I count 5 rookie starters. I remember a few years back when it was still the thinking that a rookie should sit and learn while watching the veteran.

I still think they should. How can it possibly hurt to have them sit? If they are behind a good veteran, all they can do is get better and learn from the best without risking injury.

don't think its ever happened before. when you throw in the 2nd year guys like Cam & Dalton, qb youth will be served. it'd be food for the league if those rooks show out becausenif they don't those teams are gonna be pure piss all season

If it makes sense, I'm more worried about the Rams than Saints. They always give us a hard time and I don't understand it.

Last year, Newton and Dalton proved you could start a rookie QB and have them do well. With the rules favoring little contact on QBs and WRs, it's become much easier for QBs to sit in the pocket and make decisions and find open players.

I get to see Dallas suffer on day one and the Steelers play Sunday night so I don't have to worry about not being able to see it from my trailer.

ah yes... it wouldn't be an NFL season if derrville didn't groan me when I shit on Dallas, just like the Giants will do tonite.

WTF is this wednesday shit ?

NFL is pissing me off with there mid week expansion of games I hope ratings for Thursday games tank. Are Dana White and Goodell rubbing baby oil on each other ?

Anyways .....actually there is no anyways Im still annoyed at this mid week crap.

P.S Unless a QB is particularly fragile mentally or physically no reason to have him sit and learn. Rules are so damn friendly the learning curve is reduced drastically. I would personally always sit a rookie for 4-8 games just to sit on the sidelines and understand the process of prep and game day without performance anxiety. Having him looking at the aerial pics and replays of everything for a few games before throwing him in there.
Best reason to have a license.
