Aaron Rodgers, in a 49ers jersey? It could have happened if the 2005 draft went differently. But it could happen next week if he loses a reported bet.

TMZ.com reports that Rodgers enticed Boyz II Men to sing Sunday’s national anthem before his Packers host the 49ers.

“But before the guys would agree to sing,” TMZ reports, “Nathan Morris (the guy with the deep voice) had one MAJOR demand. Turns out, Morris is a bigtime 49ers fan … and proposed a friendly bet to the QB — if SF wins, Rodgers MUST WEAR an Alex Smith 49ers jersey for the remainder of the week. If GB wins, Morris has agreed to wear a Rodgers jersey. A rep for the band confirms.”

Rodgers grew up a 49ers fan in Chico and, while at Cal, he wore a Joe Montana T-shirt under his jersey.

“I never had any type of revenge or get-back feelings toward them,” Rodgers said in a conference call Wednesday with Bay Area media.”They were my team growing up, they didn’t draft me and I’ve enjoyed my time in Green Bay. I still follow them from afar.”

He was never going to sign here. It was more than money. He didn't like it here. And there were unconfirmed allegations of him being unfaithful to his wife. And it was more than flings and picking up strange. He was having an affair and got caught. She said that they all move or she would divorce him and get full custody of the kids.

Though I agree with you. Never did like that trade.
