    There was a period when McNabb was the 3rd best QB in the league, it was short mind you. It was 2004 when him and Culpepper were fighting Peyton Manning for the MVP.

        The Hall of Fame is for the best of all time. Can anyone honestly say that he was one of the greatest quarterbacks in history?

            There are plenty of players in the HOF who weren't the best of all time.

            No disrespect, but has Curtis Martin ever been described as the best of all time? He's in the HOF.

            (Not for a second disrespecting Martin's great career ... but was it really better than McNabb's?)

                anyway; like Dave says.....there are handfuls in HOF that were NOT The Best of All-Time.
                some are just in the HOF because of "time".

                    Knock his inconsistencies and his late career, but McNabb possibly did the most with least of any QB in the last 15 years. I think with the trend towards letting players in like a "Hall of Good" McNabb's chances to make the HOF are pretty good. I do think people will remember him as one of the better QBs of his generation.
