Week 1 PROS/CONS for your team

    JETS

    PROS
---Sanchez was awesome yesterday. He finally has someone who can stretch the field...most his passes were on the mark, he managed the game well.
---WR's...I'll bunch them together...they all made great plays at parts of the game, Stephen Hill makes a big difference but having the full assortment of WR's helps Sanchez...Kerley continues to step up, very exciting slot WR/PR
    ---O-Line...Did Mario Williams play?
---CB play...Stevie Johnson was shut down (though I know he was hurt), but Revis/Cro/Wilson each had a pick, Landry literally jacked up 2-3 Bills, and took out Fred Jackson (hope he gets better).
---Playcalling, I've never seen more open WR's then yesterday...not sure that was due to scheme, WR's, or both...the passing calls worked.

    CONS
---Spiller raped us 2nd half. He broke some flukey runs but speed backs continue to fuck us. We have some good run stuffing LB's but they aren't the quickest...this is something to watch, although we didn't have our best NT in Pouha playing.
---Run game was pedestrian. Greene just doesn't do it for me. He's more suited as a Michael Bush type I feel...we need help at the RB spot...maybe Powell can be that guy...not sure though.

        Jaguars

        Pros

Gabs looks a lot better than last year. His 4th quarter pass to Cecil Shorts was money.
Marcades Lewis looks like he might be returning to form.
The mixture of Rashad Jennings and Maurice Jones Drew is nice.

        Cons
Secondary looked like ass. If Christian Ponder can do this to the secondary how can we stop Houston next week.
Defensive ends didn't get to the quarterback but Tyson Alualu and Pot Roast did.
Gabs folded under pressure and threw a bad pass to end the game. Something tells me that's going to carry over to next week.

          New England Patriots

          Pros:
          -Tom Brady and BB
          -Hernandez is a force
-Ridley might be the every down back they've wanted since Dillon
          -Rush defense is unstoppable
-Rookies on D played a huge part
          -Lloyd can get open deep

          Cons
-Lloyd is used to shitty quarterbacks who underthrow, that his deep routes are rusty
-Welker might see a limited role this year, not a fan of this
-Locker completed a lot of passes, secondary still weak

            FALCONS

            PROS
            - Defense, which looked its usual passive and vanilla self in the first half, made some adjustments at half and looked like an entirely different unit coming out for half two. Play calling was more aggressive, the pass rush was generating pressure and they forced a few turnovers. Very encouraging 2nd half performance.
            - Sean Weatherspoon was all over the place all game, even in the first half, standing out from the rest of the unit's lackluster start.
            - Offense was more aggressive going downfield throughout the game. It was refreshing to see Matt Ryan completing so many intermediate and deep passes.
            - Along that same line, Julio Jones looked tremendous, obviously.
            - Loved the no-huddle tempo.

            CONS
            - Red Zone offense is still shaky. It's nice to sustain long drives but we have got to convert more TDs. Matt Bryant's leg might fall off by week 9 with how often this team settles for 3.
            - Running game was nonexistent for large stretches. Part of that was by choice, as we didn't need it much with how well we were passing, but it's still a concern. Michael Turner's days as a lead back appear to be nearing an end.
            - First half defense, as was stated above, was passive and vanilla. Couldn't stop the run, couldn't get after the QB, and couldn't get a DB anywhere close enough to a WR to even attempt to make a play on the ball. The adjustments made at half were awesome, but you'd like to see them open the game with a bit more intensity and aggression.

              Pros

              - Peyton Manning

              Cons

              - Knowshon Moreno
              - The defense needs to get better on stopping 3rd and medium/long.. Pittsburgh was able to keep that game way closer than it should have been
              - Replacement refs

                Lions

                Pros:
                -We won the game.
-D-Line actually looked decent, Fairley got a sack.
-Stafford didn't lose his composure after throwing 3 picks.

                Cons:
                -Stafford threw 3 picks.
-The Rams coaches game planned much better than our coaches.
-Secondary still looks weak as hell.

                    Pros:

                    - Ben can run the no huddle as good as anyone
                    - We actually learned to run left this year
                    - Saw a lot more quick passes and line reads by Ben
                    - If mendy can get healthy we will be able to run all over people
                    Cons

                    - Pass D is shite
                    - Ben can't seem to rise to the occasion lately, ever since GB beat us in the Super Bowl it seems 4th quarter comebacks for are over

                      Pros-

The Packers didn't suffer any major injuries other than to their pride.
They don't play the 49ers every week.

                      Cons-

The running game is not scaring anyone.
The defense could not stop the running game of the 49ers.

                        The Bears

                        Pros....
Offense as a whole. Can't say they did much wrong.

                        Cons.....
It as the Colts. And Jay can't afford to start like he did against better teams.

                            Romo is Romo
Murray isn't suffering from a sophomore slump, at least it appears

                            CONS
OL is still shit, at least for now. Romo was bailing them out constantly
                            Penalties still too damn high

                              Pros
                              - Blaine Gabbert is much better in his second year. Made some really impressive throws and kept moving the chains despite having no O-Line.

                              - We actually have people who can catch the ball this season. Laurent Robinson really showed up big, Cecil Shorts is looking to make an impact in his second season, Blackmon will start getting better over the season and Marcedes Lewis has his head back in the game.

                              - Eugene Monroe. He held Jared Allen to 0 pressures of Blaine Gabbert on Sunday, pretty amazing.

                              Cons
                              - Injuries. Just like last year this team is already battling with injuries. Derek Cox and Daryl Smith sat out on Sunday with injuries and Eben Britton, Uche Nwaneri, and Cameron Bradfield, 3 of the starters on the O-Line went down during the game. Going to be a very long season if the team can't stay healthy.

                              - No Pass Rush. The Vikings quick passing, mixed in with the Jaguars having little depth on the D-Line made it a very easy to day for Ponder to pass the ball. The Jaguars didn't even get close to pressuring him for most of the day.

                              - The Defense is general. You have to hold a 3 point lead with 20 seconds left, no excuses.
