If he had retired one year earlier, he'd be lumped into the same class of asshole to them as Tiki Barber. They both had the same issues with running their mouths and complaining, especially under Coughlin.

Not to mention Strahan gets a big-time TV gig out of the deal while Tiki is struggling to find a job. Banging interns probably didn't help there.
I always got the feeling Tiki and Strahan were team cancers. Strahan would pull the pre season Im too special antics and complain about everything Coughlin did. I dont know when it happened but at some point whether it was the SB or 22 sack season the media turned him into a "Darling". But like you said there was very much a time when he was a big time cancer player.
Best reason to have a license.

I always remember that incident with the female reporter and the donuts.

I believe there can be 6 nominees + 2 special contributors.. so the 2013 HOF class can be pretty big.

To me the locks should be:
          Ogden
          Allen
          Strahan
          Sabol

Then there are a lot of guys who deserve it.. you just have to figure out which ones do first (Sapp, Brown, Carter, Haley, Morten, L. Butler, etc etc)

You put Morten in the same category as Sapp? Well, I just hope you get cancerous AIDs.....

Missed this one. My answer is if he was considered HOF worthy, by now he would have been voted in. He was certainly around long enough for it to happen before he kicked.

I have to say I do look forward to the riots in certain sections of Ohio the day he were to be inducted though.

If that category is "deserving HOF caliber players who may not get in on the first shot.." then yeah.

They weren't going to vote Modell in while he was alive, because people were afraid the induction would be turned into a circus by crazy Browns fans.
