It's convenient to say elite equals winning when you've got the the second best line around you, the leading rusher of all time, one of the greatest wr's of all time, one of the greater fullbacks of all time, and a top 10 defense of all time. Hell, he even had a pro bowl tight end.

If he could only manage an 81.6 qb rating with the Cowboys then you know damn well it'd be even worse, much worse, with another team. He holds records for having low qb ratings in the superbowl with arguably the greatest dynasty. He simply cannot do what he did without that team and to think otherwise has no backing.

So the two best linemen on that squad played one year together at their peak. The rest of them? Castoffs and nobodies who Emmitt Smith made look like superstars.

They were good, but they weren't the reason Dallas was winning all those games and setting records left and right.

And most of those other parts you keep bringing up were gone by 1995.

Dude comon Herschel Walker and Puhler were well on there way to the HOF Before Aikman and Emmit came along.
Tuinei, Newton, Gogan , were regulars at the probowl with a combined 0 probowls. Same for Stepnoski.

Allen is the only HOF in that group and the Boys had 2 SBs by the time he was a rookie.

He actually has one of the HIGHEST of all time with 144 in a single game and 112 in 3 SBs putting him 4th highest all time.
His 77 rating where he also completed 70% of his passes is nowhere near the list of lowest.

false assumption on your part. I might be having a little fun, but you dont belittle the accomplishment of a Super Bowl winning QB in the NFL. Theres a million more tangibles in everything and passing completions and yards arent the whole story for every QB. Its Sports, sports is all about the instaneous moment...and for a season Dilfer did the right things at the right time in the right way and helped a team win a Super Bowl. He is one of less then 47 men to get to and Win a SB. He is elite!
